Kyle deSandes-Moyer
Assistant Coach
deSandes-Moyer while more than doubling their win total from the previous year. She also has coaching experience with Warhawks Club Field Hockey where she has been since the 2013 season. She played four years at the University of Pennsylvania where she spent two years at forward, one year in the midfield, and one at back. This experience at multiple positions proved vital to her coaching career. deSandes-Moyer was a four-time member of the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Academic Squad and won the Diane Angstadt Award winner for being the most inspirational player. She serves as a Young Alumnae Representative for the Penn Field Hockey Board. deSandes-Moyer is originally from Allentown, Pa. where she played at Parkland High School. She was a Second Team All-State honoree, Academic All-State, NFHCA All-State member and LVIAC Scholar-Athlete. She also played club field hockey for First Class, where she competed in three festivals, earning a Pool Championship and competing in the NITs. deSandes-Moyer received her Bachelor's of Art in anthropology and classical studies from the University of Pennsylvania in 2013, graduating Cum Laude. She earned her Master's of Educational Studies from Johns Hopkins University in 2015.

Christina Restivo
Assistant Coach
Restivo begins her 4th season as the head coach of the field hockey program in 2016 after leading the Marlins to the ODAC tournament in 2015. Restivo, in just her third season with the Marlins, took the squad to the ODAC tournament for the first time since the 2011 campaign, winning six games in the regular season. Prior to her time at Virginia Wesleyan, Restivo served as an assistant coach at Wake Forest for six seasons, helping guide the Demon Deacons to four NCAA appearances and two national semifinals. She has also served as Head Coach for Futures site from 2008 to 2012 while also holding the position of Site Director of Futures in Winston-Salem from 2009 to 2011. Restivo coached the U16 NFCs in 2010 and has been an assistant director for Wake Forest Hockey Camps. A face on the national scene, Restivo has coached the FDIC camp in 2011 for Elite USA high school players, a camp thats sanctioned by United States Field Hockey. She also was invited to coach an AAU Junior Olympics team in the summer of 2015. Restivo attended the Coaches Forum in 2012 and 2014 and holds Level 2 Coaching Certification from U.S. Hockey. She has been a Futures Certified Coach since 2005. She earned her Bachelors in public and community health from the University of Maryland where she played in goal for four years for the Terrapins. She was the goalie for Marylands 2005 and 2006 national championship teams and ACC Championship team in 2005. She was named to the NCAA All-Tournament Team in 2006. Restivo holds a Masters of Arts in liberal studies from Wake Forest, graduating in 2011. She currently owns Back of the Net Field Hockey, LLC. Career Highlights
