Daniela Viotti
Assistant Coach
Viotti , a former collegiate standout and assistant at the University of Missouri-Saint Louis, embarks on her second season as assistant golf coach for the Seahawk men's and women's golf teams. A four-year member of Missouri-Saint Louis women's golf team, Viotti wasted little time in making her mark on the Triton program when she was named the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Women's Freshman and Player of the Year of the Year in 2011. That season, she tied the school record by firing a 69 in the second round of the Screaming Eagle Classic en route to earning a team-best 78.4 scoring average. Viotti, who hails from Constantia Cape Town, South Africa, posted five top-10 finishes and placed fourth at the GLVC Championships in her sophomore season. Following a junior season that was highlighted by an eighth-place finish at the Maryville Spring Invitational, she capped her career by earning a pair of third-place finishes, at the Tritons and Ohio Valley Invitationals, respectively, during her senior season of 2013-14. In 2014-15, Viotti, who holds dual citizenship in South Africa and Italy, served as an assistant golf coach at her alma mater. In addition to her playing and coaching career at Missouri-Saint Louis, Viotta has spent the past eight years serving as a mentor to junior golfers at Norwood Hills Country Club in St. Louis, MO. "Daniela's extensive golf background, work ethic and positive personality, will allow her to be a major asset to our golf teams here at Wagner," said Seahawk head men's and women's golf coach Chris Fourman, who earned his second Northeast Conference Women's Golf Coach of the Year honor in 2014. "I'm confident our student-athletes will benefit greatly from having Daniela on board."
