Joe Stasi
Head Coach
Stasi enters his 21st year as Head Coach of the Wagner College Cross Country and Track & Field teams in 2016-2017. Under Stasi's guidance, the Seahawks remained competitive in the Northeast Conference for over a decade in Cross Country and Track & Field. During Stasi's tenure he guided his athletes to more than 20 mens indoor records, 19 mens outdoor records, 20 plus womens indoor records, and 21 womens outdoor records. He has also overseen one NCAA qualifier, seven NCAA regional qualifiers, two cross country team academic All-Americans, and one track team academic All-American. In addition to his coaching duties at Wagner, Stasi is also an Adaptive Physical Education teacher in the New York City Public School System. A 1988 graduate of Kean College in Union, New Jersey, the Native Staten Islander received a Master's Degree in Physical Education from Nova University in Naples, Florida in 1991 and a Master's Degree in Special Education from Wagner College in 1999. Stasi initially remained in the Sunshine State as an In-School Suspension Supervisor at the Pine Ridge Middle School in Naples before joining the Wagner Athletic staff in 1996. Stasi also served as an assistant coach for the Monsignor Farrell High School Track & Field team from 1987-1990. He currently resides in Staten Island.

James Plummer
Assistant Coach
Plummer enters his third season as an Assistant Track & Field Coach in 2015-2016. A 2013 graduate of Rutgers University with a degree in Labor Relations and Employment, Plummer competed for the Scarlet Knights in throwing events such as the shot put, discus, hammer, and weight throw. Throughout his collegiate years, Plummer became a First Team All-American and the Big East Champion in the discus. Along with these accolades, Plummer was a member of the Big East All-Academic team from 2011-13, and a three-time Penn Relays and Big East Champion. Plummer has personal bests of 2050 in the discus, 5711.25 in the shot put, and 577 in the weight throw. A native of Toms River, New Jersey, Plummer worked as a camp counselor at Berkeley Recreation while at Rutgers, overseeing activities and sports for junior high aged children. Along with serving as an Assistant Track & Field Coach, Plummer will be pursuing his Masters in Business Administration. Kelly Pereira
Assistant Coach
Pereira enters her second season as an Assistant Track & Field coach. A 2015 graduate of Wagner College with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, Pereira was a four year letter winner for the Seahawks track & field program. Pereira currently holds the Seahawk records in the indoor 600m and 800m while also being a member of the school record holding 4x400m and distance medley relay teams. In outdoor competition, she is a member of the Wagner record holding 4x200m, 4x400m and 4x800m relay teams. Pereira will assist in all aspects of coaching with a particular focus on middle distance.

Emunael Mpanduki
Assistant Coach
Mpanduki has had 15 different conference medalists to go along with eight all-conference performers, which includes a sweep of the all-rookie awards during the indoor season for sprint events. Additionally, 11 Wagner school records have been set during his watch, which led to 15 IC4A/ECAC qualifiers and the eventual IC4A and NCAA Regional Qualifier in the 100m dash. Mpanduki also served as the recruiting coordinator that brought in one of the largest incoming class in Wagner Track and Field history. A 2013 graduate of Penn State University, Mpanduki earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics. As a member of the Nittany Lions track and field squad, Mpanduki competed in sprints and relays. In 2011, he was a member of the 4x400 relay team that captured the Big Ten bronze medal. Also, he was a vital member of the 2013 4x200 meter team that set a NCAA indoor record. Before arriving at Wagner, he served as a volunteer assistant on the Nittany Lions' coaching staff, where he helped develop and implement training programs for the sprints, hurdles, and relay competitors. Mpanduki is pursuing a Masters' Degree in Business Administration at Wagner. Emunael Mpanduki enters his third season as an Assistant Coach for both the men's & women's track & field programs. Cory Duggan
Assistant Coach
Duggan enters his second season as an Assistant Track & Field Coach in 2016-2017 as he will focus on jumps and pole vault. A 2015 graduate of University of Connecticut with a degree in Bachelor of Arts & Science, Economics and Sociology. Duggan competed in the pole vault and became an NCAA All-American and two-time captain of the Huskies track & field team. He was selected as the prestigious Club Award Recipient at UConn and a five-time member of the All-Big East Team. Duggan was also twice chosen to the All-American Athletic Conference team and All-New England Team. Duggan left UConn as the schools record holder in the pole vault and a three team All-IC4A Team selection. Cory Duggan is the brother of former jumps/pole vault coach Kyle Duggan. Along with serving as an Assistant Track & Field Coach, Duggan will be pursuing his Masters of Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing.
