Head Coach
Brandon Uhl enters his 13th year as the Norris T. Aldridge Men’s Track and Field Head Coach at Washington and Lee after serving as an assistant coach for the men's and women's programs since 2008. He also serves as an assistant coach with the men's cross country program. Brandon Spalding
Head Coach
Brandon Spalding, hired in 2013, is in his 13th season as head men's cross country coach and assistant men's track & field coach at Washington and Lee University. He is also an associate professor of physical education at W&L. Nationally, Spalding serves on the USTFCCCA Cross Country Executive Committee since 2019, as the Division III Men's Cross Country South/Southeast Region Representative, contributing to weekly regional and national coaches' polls. Since 2015, he has served as the ODAC Cross Country Chair for his conference peers. Aron Gibson
Assistant Coach
Aron Gibson is in his third year at Washington and Lee, serving as the Interim Strength and Conditioning Coach and Assistant Track & Field Coach. For the Generals, Gibson assists in all facets of the Washington and Lee strength and conditioning program, while also serving as the throws coach for the men’s and women’s track and field teams. Prior to his arrival in Lexington, Gibson held multiple positions over the last few years. Since 2017, he has been a volunteer assistant coach for the football team and track and field teams at River Valley Local Schools in Caledonia, Ohio, while also serving as a strength and conditioning advisor. He was a strength coach at Elite Performance Training in Plain City, Ohio for the last two years, and served as a sports performance specialist at Redline Athletics in Delaware, Ohio since 2018. Gibson graduated from Bluffton University in 2016, earning a bachelor of arts in exercise science and strength and conditioning . He was a member of the football and track and field teams during his four years. He earned a master of sports coaching from The Ohio State University in 2017. Gibson is a certified strength and conditioning specialist and holds a United States Weightlifting Level 1 Sports Performance certification.
