Tiffany Pins

Head Coach

Tiffany Pins was named the third head coach in Washington and Lee Women's Soccer history on June 1, 2022.  In four seasons since taking over the reins, Pins has led the Generals to an overall record of 65-10-13, an ODAC record of 35-1-4, three ODAC championship appearances and the 2024 and 2025 conference titles. Pins has also guided the Generals back to the national conversation, with four NCAA Tournament appearances, including Round of 16 berths in 2024 and 2025, while breaking into the United Soccer Coaches Top 25 poll each season, with a final ranking of No. 7 for the 2025 season.   Her time leading the Generals has been highlighted by highly successful 2024 and 2025 campaigns, as the team went a combined 38-4-4 overall and 20-0-0 in ODAC play, while winning the ODAC regular season and tournament titles both seasons and finishing in the NCAA Tournament Round of 16 both years. In 2024, the Generals finished with the second-best goals-against average in Division III (.261) and were tied for the most shutouts, with the 2025 squad ranking seventh in goals-against average (.340) and 16th in scoring offense (3.17).   Pins, a three-time ODAC Coach of the Year, has mentored her players to 29 All-ODAC citations, including seven major ODAC awards, 13 United Soccer Coaches All-Region laurels and four All-Americans (Bryn Bissinger '25, Sarah Zimmerman twice each) across her first four seasons.     W&L ACCOMPLISHMENTS (65-10-13, 35-1-4 ODAC) 2x ODAC Champions (2024, 2025) ODAC Finalists (2023) ODAC Semifinalists (2022) Four NCAA Tournament appearances (2022-25) 2x NCAA Round of 16 (2024, 2025) 3x ODAC Coach of the Year (2022, 2024, 2025) Seven major ODAC award winners Four All-Americans 13 All-Region selections 29 All-ODAC selections   COACHING RESUME Washington and Lee University – Head Coach (2022-pres.) Robert Tomecek

Assistant Coach

Robert Tomecek is in his fourth season as the W&L Women's Soccer Assistant Coach in 2025-26. In three seasons as an assistant coach, Tomecek has helped the Generals to an overall record of 47-8-10, an ODAC record of 25-1-4, two ODAC championship appearances and the 2024 conference title. W&L has also made three NCAA Tournament appearances, including a Round of 16 berth in 2024, while breaking into the United Soccer Coaches Top 25 poll each season, with a high-ranking of No. 9 in the October 29, 2024 poll. Individually, Tomecek has coached three players to major ODAC awards, along with 21 All-ODAC citations, nine United Soccer Coaches All-Region laurels and two All-Americans. Tomecek arrives at W&L after serving as the Women's Soccer Graduate Assistant Coach at Carthage College for the past two seasons. While at Carthage, Tomecek recruited players, assisted in planning and coaching practice sessions and edited film, while he also earned a Master of Education degree in Sports Leadership.   Prior to Carthage, Tomecek was an assistant coach at Wartburg College for Tiffany Pins, who will begin her first season as the Generals' head coach in 2022. Tomecek helped the team to a 28-9-4 overall record in his two seasons, including a 2019 American Rivers Conference Tournament championship and two NCAA Tournament appearances. He also assisted the Wartburg men's soccer team in 2019 as the second assistant, helping the Knights to an 8-8-2 record.   Tomecek also worked as a coach at Benet Academy in Lisle, Ill., holding stints as the girls' varsity assistant in 2018 and volunteer coach from 2012-17, as well as the junior varsity boys' head coach in 2016. He helped the girls' varsity team to a 20-4-1 record in 2018, as the team recorded the second-most shutouts in program history that season.   Tomecek attended Macalester College where he earned his bachelor of arts degree in economics in 2017, with a minor in psychology. He was also a four-year starting defender on the men's soccer team, a two-time All-Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) selection and he twice appeared on the All-MIAC Sportsmanship team.
