Stuart Winsby
Head Coach
Began: 2020-21 season Season: 2024-25 will be his fifth season at Webber Stuart Winsby is in his fifth season as the Head Men’s Golf Coach at Webber International University in 2024-25. Hailing from Northern Ireland, my love of golf started at an early age. I competed in Golfing Union Ireland events from the age of 14 through the end of my college career with WIU. As a student athlete for Webber, I obtained All-American my senior year. Having had the opportunity to play as a Webber Warrior at golf courses such as Trump Doral in Miami and TPC Deer Run in Illinois. Not only did Webber give me the chance to obtain higher education, it gave me the opportunity to enhance my skills as a golfer as well as create lifelong connections with other students and athletes. In 2024, the team celebrated their return to the NAIA National Champions in Dalton, GA after 8 long years. Heading into the tournament as the #21 seed, the team successfully made the cut finishing 16th at The Championship. The team built a bond that I have never seen before and that is a big contribution to our success this year. In 2022 we had a women individual make it to the 2022 NAIA National Championship in Oklahoma City making it a second year running were we had an individual make it to the National Championship. In 2021 we successfully competed throughout the year and took our Webber record breaker Alberto Uriach to The 2021 NAIA National Championship were he finished 15th at TPC Deer Run and was honored with as an All American. It was a great experience to be back to a place where I competed, now as a coach. When I was offered the position as head coach, I was thrilled with the opportunity to bring an already wonderful program to new heights. Giving future student athletes an exceptional experience such as I have had. I look forward to continuing to build a successful program for my athletes both on the course and in the classroom.
