David Andrews

Head Coach

Andrews enters his second season as Head coach of the men and womens track and field teams. Coach Andrews served 4 year as the Warriors men and womens assistant coach for cross-country, triathlon, and track & field.  In his first 3 years with the team, he assisted Head coach Pete Ormsby in producing a total of 4 All-Americans and 14 national qualifiers. The Men finished back-to-back Sun Conference runner-up and the Women finished in 3rd place for the second year in a row. In his first campaign at the helm for the Warriors, the Women finished 2nd and the Men were 7th respectively. 18 of were named All-Conference with 4 pinned as conference champions and 5 were runners up. 10 (men and women) school records were broken. The warriors contested in 4 events (Long Jump, Triple Jump, 200m, and 4X100m relay) at the 2015 NAIA Outdoor National Championship held at Gulf Shores, Alabama. Junior jumper Charrie Dennard stayed in the top 3 nationally all season in the triple jump with a school record 12.33meters (405 ½). Dennard also posted a 5.62meter (185 ¼) long jump resulting in a school record. Senior, Marcela Solano, became the first Warrior to qualify for the Olympics throw the hammer 60.63meters (2001) good for an A standard. She will be representing her home country of Chile at the 2016 Rio Olympic meet. She also garnered the school record in the Weight throw 16.73(551 ¼).      Coach Andrews has been coaching for 20 years. Doing stints at UMass Dartmouth for 2 years where he was responsible for sprints, jumps and relays, and 16 years coaching in the high school ranks between Massachusetts and Florida, most recently at Osceola High School in Kissimmee, FL. During this past summer, Coach Andrews worked at the prestigious Florida State University track and field camp. Dave graduated from UMass Dartmouth in 1996 with a BA in English Drama and Film Studies. While at UMass he was a member of the Track and Football (hall of famed 96 team) teams. Dave received his BS in Business from Webber International University and is presently enrolled in the MBA program. Dwight Frazier

Assistant Coach

Frazier is currently an assistant principal in the Polk County School System and has been coaching in Polk County for over 18 years, where he has led several schools to County, District and State championships. He also holds his Level 1 coaching certificate from the USA Track and Field in sprints, hurdles and relays. Frazier has been a key part of the Warriors success throughout his tenure at Webber. Frazier has helped guide two All-American 4x100m relay teams, one womens conference team championship, two mens runner up conference finishes, several All Conference selections and an abundance of national qualifiers. Frazier attended North Carolina State University where he was a three time All-American and a twenty time All-Atlantic Coast Conference member. He also helped North Carolina State University win three conference championships.
