Juli Greep
Head Coach
Greep coached the squad to their first winning season since 2001. Wesley won 17 contests, and hit for a .331 team average. Steph Caracozza led the team with a .427 average, the fifth-highest single-season batting average in program history. Lily Engel and Lindsay Siok provided a solid tandem from the circle, combining for 90 strikeouts and 20 complete games. Building for the future in 2013, Greep's Wolverines relied primarily on freshman, with seven of Wesley's nine fulltime position players being first year newcomers. Despite the inexperience, the Wolverines nearly equaled their win total from a year before and outfielder Steph Caracozza hit .412 to earn All-CAC honors. Wesley hit an impressive .324 as a team and the pitching staff, anchored by senior Taylor Hendricks, kept Wesley in games. Instantly changing the culture in the Wesley softball program, Greep led Wesley to one of the largest turnarounds in the Nation in 2012. The Wolverines' 15 wins, after having just four the year prior, were its most since 2005. With a former standout pitcher at the helm, Wesley's team ERA dropped to under four for the first time in recent history. Under her tutelage, Ashlyn Booth also had one of the finest offensive seasons in program history and earned All-CAC and NFCA All-Region honors. In doing so. Booth was the first Wolverine to earn NFCA honors since 2007. Greep comes to the Wolverines after stint as the head coach for both sports at Keystone College in La Plume, Pennsylvania. She coached the Giants' softball program for three seasons and spent two years coaching volleyball after the program's revival. Her softball teams improved their winning percentage in each of her three years on the diamond. Greep's Giants won 38 contests in three years, more than the program had tallied the previous seven seasons before her arrival. She coached eight All-Colonial States Athletic Conference student-athletes in softball, including two first team selections, and a pair of All-CSAC volleyball picks. Greep's teams were successful in the classroom, as well, posting grade point averages over 3.0. A total of 19 of her student-athletes were chosen to the CSAC All-Academic Teams during her tenure. A graduate of McPherson College, Greep was a vital member of that institution's softball program, having earned Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) post-season honors all four years. While at McPherson, Greep was captain of the 2003 KCAC championship team. The 2003 squad, as well as the 2004 team set program records for wins in a season with 18. Greep twice earned KCAC All-Conference recognition as a pitcher, once as a First Team selection at first base and once as a utility player. She has also served as a coach and an instructor for high school and collegiate players at various camps and leagues.
