Wesleyan University Men's Lacrosse

Will Pilat returns to the Wesleyan coaching staff in 2018-19 for a third year as assistant coach.  Pilat works specifically with the offense and goalies at Wesleyan. He recently completed his master's degree in Graduate Liberal Studies at Wesleyan University.   A 2016 graduate of Roanoke College, Pilat found success both on and off the field during his time in Salem, Virginia. The Roanoke native was a two time All-America Honorable Mention attackman during the 2015 and 2016 seasons. He was also a member of the 2013 Old Dominion Athletic Conference championship team and also participated in two NCAA Tournaments with the Maroons (2013, 2015). Pilat was a three-time selection of the ODAC All-Conference Team in 2013, 2015, and 2016 and closed his playing career as a USILA Division III All-Star representing the South team in the North-South All-Star game. He was also named a USILA Scholar All-American after his senior season.    As an attackman for Roanoke College, Pilat finished his career with over 200 points, finishing his career in Salem as one of the top 10 scorers in program history. As a four-year starter for the Maroons, Pilat played for his father, Bill Pilat, who has coached the Maroons for 29 seasons.  

Will Parker begins his 27th season at Wesleyan as defensive coordinator in 2026. Under Will’s tutelage, his defensive unit has been consistently ranked near the top in the NESCAC in goals-against average year in and year out. Since his arrival, Will has helped Wesleyan compile an impressive 319-131 (.709) record.  During that time, Wesleyan has advanced to 11 NESCAC title games, four National semifinal appearances, and in 2018, he helped Wesleyan win its first-ever National Championship while holding Salisbury to a season-low six goals. Will has mentored 34 All-Americans, and three of his defensive players were named National Positional Players of the Year. A 1996 graduate of Quinnipiac University, Will earned All-League and All-New England honors as a Long-Stick Midfielder.   After graduation, Will spent one season as a high school coach in Connecticut, and started his collegiate coaching career as an assistant coach at his alma mater, Quinnipiac, before joining Wesleyan. Will has been a Special Education teacher at Foundation School in Milford for the past 26 years.
