Mike Kellar
Head Coach
A native and resident of Shinnston, West Virginia, Kellar spent seven seasons as the head coach for Glenville State Football, finishing the 2025 season 6-5, the fourth consecutive winning season for the program. His overall coaching record is 87-63. Kellar began his collegiate football career as starting quarterback at Glenville State, before transferring to Fairmont State. Following graduation in 1994, Kellar served as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Fairmont State for eight seasons, where he helped lead Fairmont to two WVIAC championships. After two years in Northern Michigan as an offensive coordinator, Kellar moved to California (PA) in 2004 as offensive coordinator, where the Vulcans would win four straight PSAC West Titles, two NCAA Division II regional crowns and earn a pair of ECAC Lambert Trophies. Kellar debuted as head coach at Concord University, launching a turnaround for a program that had been 1-21 over the 2007-2008 seasons. Returning to California (PA) as associate head coach in 2011, Kellar would become head coach when John Luckhardt retired - garnering a 31-12 record over four years. Before coming to Glenville, Kellar also had stints at Lenoir-Rhyne and West Liberty. Kellar holds a master's degree in safety management from West Virginia University. He and his wife, Missy, have four children, Deidra, Jarrod, Anthony and Jacob.

Mott Gaymon IV
Associate Head Coach
Mott Gaymon is a highly respected defensive coach with extensive collegiate, professional, and international experience, known for building disciplined, aggressive, and turnover-driven defenses. He spent eight seasons as the Defensive Coordinator and Secondary Coach at Wheeling University, where his units consistently ranked among the top defenses in the Mountain East Conference. In 2025, Gaymon’s defense produced seven All-Conference selections, highlighted by one All-American honoree, continuing a trend of elite defensive development under his leadership. Gaymon’s defense finished 3rd in conference in Rush Defense, Sacks and Interceptions. Since joining the Cardinals, Gaymon has sustained defensive success while also serving as the Defensive Coordinator for the Wheeling Miners of the National Arena League (NAL). During the 2024 season, Wheeling held opponents under 30 points per game for the second consecutive year, allowing just over 28 points per contest and limiting six of 11 opponents to 30 points or fewer. The defense featured two First Team All-MEC selections, including middle linebacker Jack Parry, who set the program’s single season tackles record with 91 and led the conference, and defensive back Justin McIlwain, the team leader in pass breakups. Gaymon’s 2023 unit allowed only 26.0 points per game while recording 63 sacks and 14 interceptions. The defense delivered a signature performance on Homecoming, holding West Virginia Wesleyan to just three points in a 58–3 victory. That season also marked the program’s first All-Region and All-American honoree, as Aaron Davis led all of NCAA Division II with 25 pass breakups. Three defenders earned All-MEC honors, including Second Team selection Caleb Grant. In 2022, the Cardinals allowed 25.36 points per game and set a program record with 15 interceptions. The defense recorded the second shutout in school history with a 37–0 win over West Virginia Wesleyan and held six opponents under 25 points. Gaymon coached four All-MEC honorees, including First Team linebacker Jason Simon. The 2021 season marked the best defensive campaign in program history, as Wheeling allowed a record low 21.7 points per game and earned the program’s first shutout victory. Four defensive starters received All-MEC honors. During the COVID-shortened 2020 season, Gaymon’s defense forced 11 turnovers and produced eight All-MEC selections. Prior to Wheeling, Gaymon coached at NCAA Division II Lake Erie College and NAIA Lindsey Wilson College, helping lead the Blue Raiders to a No. 1 national ranking and an NAIA playoff appearance. He also served as Head Coach and Defensive Coordinator for the Wroclaw Panthers of Poland, guiding the team to a national championship appearance while leading the league in total defense.

Josh Francis
Coach
Josh Francis serves as the Recruiting Coordinator, Run Game Coordinator, and Linebackers Coach at Wesleyan, bringing a blend of high-level playing experience and proven defensive development to the Bobcats’ staff. A former standout linebacker at West Virginia University and a signee of the Green Bay Packers, Francis has built a coaching résumé marked by production, discipline, and player advancement. Prior to his role at WVWC, Francis spent two seasons at West Liberty University as the Defensive Line Coach, where his unit produced 178 tackles, 32 sacks, and 78 tackles for loss while developing four All-Conference performers, including a Super Regional 1 standout. He also served as the Linebackers Coach at Waynesburg University in 2021, mentoring key defensive contributors Isaac Huey, James Davis, and Austin Derr. In 2020, Francis coached at Geneva College as the Defensive Line and Pass Rush Coordinator, guiding First-Team All-PAC linebacker Dakota Allen to a conference-leading season in both tackles and interceptions. Francis’ playing career includes professional experience after signing with the Green Bay Packers in 2015, along with stints in the Canadian Football League with the Calgary Stampeders and Winnipeg Blue Bombers and in the Indoor Football League with the Wichita Falls Nighthawks. Collegiately, he earned All-Big 12 Honorable Mention honors at West Virginia University, leading the Mountaineers in both sacks and tackles for loss during the 2012 season. He completed his WVU career with 57 tackles, 6.5 sacks, and 17 tackles for loss after beginning his college career at Lackawanna College, where he was recognized as a 2010 NJCAA First-Team All-American. A native of Damascus, Maryland, Francis holds a degree in Sociology and Anthropology from West Virginia University and is currently pursuing his MBA at West Liberty University. He and his wife, Melinda Francis, are the proud parents of four children—Lilielle, Josh Jr., Elijah, and Isaac.

Jeremy Harmer
Coach
Jeremy Harmer is in his first season with the Bobcats as Offensive Coordinator and Offensive Line coach. He spent the previous six seasons on Coach Mike Kellar’s staff at Glenville State, where he began as the Wide Receivers coach and Pass Game Coordinator. During his first four seasons in that role, Harmer helped develop multiple All-MEC performers, including Javon Butler, Zay Huff, Javien Bellamy, and Orion Bonner, before transitioning to Offensive Coordinator and Offensive Line coach in 2024. In 2024, under Harmer’s direction, the Pioneers posted their best season since joining the Mountain East Conference in 2013, finishing 7–4 overall and 7–2 in conference play with a second-place MEC finish. The offensive line produced three All-Conference selections, highlighted by Payton Hawkins earning First Team All-MEC honors, while Jaheziah Wade and Justin Collier received Honorable Mention recognition. The offense continued to rise in 2025, finishing third in the MEC in both total offense and rushing offense, while leading the conference in passing with 3,021 yards and averaging 31.8 points per game. That season also produced multiple All-MEC selections, including running back Jeremiah King and offensive lineman Alex Willis. A native of Shinnston, West Virginia, Harmer began his collegiate coaching career in 2012 at his alma mater, Fairmont State, as the quarterbacks coach. He later connected with Coach Kellar at Lenoir-Rhyne before following him to Glenville State.

Ronald Jackson
Coach
Ronald Jackson joined the West Virginia Wesleyan football program as the defensive line coach prior to the 2026 season. He came to WVWC after serving as the assistant defensive line coach at Millersville University during the 2025 season. Jackson started his coaching career at Lycoming College as the assistant defensive line coach, where he helped guide defensive tackle Jake Welch to All-Landmark Conference honors. Jackson graduated with a degree in sports management in 2023 and graduated with a masters in sports management in 2025.

Josh Brown
Coach
Joshua Brown is a native of Jefferson County, West Virginia, and a graduate of Jefferson High School, where he was a four-year varsity letterman in three sports. As a standout wide receiver, Brown earned All-State honors and was named the 2006 Gatorade West Virginia State Track & Field Athlete of the Year. Brown continued his football career at Edinboro University, playing three seasons with the Fighting Scots. In 2009, he helped lead Edinboro to an NCAA Division II playoff appearance, finishing the season as the team’s leading receiver. He later graduated from Fairmont State University, where he began his coaching career. Brown served one season as the Wide Receivers Coach at Fairmont State, coaching at his alma mater before transitioning to the high school ranks. From 2013–2014, Brown served as the Offensive Coordinator at Jefferson High School, overseeing the development of skill players and implementing the offensive system. Brown then joined Martinsburg High School as an Assistant Football Coach from 2019–2020, contributing to the Bulldogs’ continued dominance. During his tenure, Martinsburg won the 2019 WVSSAC Class AAA State Championship, further cementing the program’s legacy as one of the most successful in West Virginia history. Brown brings a strong background in player development, speed training, and competitive excellence to the West Virginia Wesleyan football program.
