Dan Quinn
Head Coach
Quinn has seen the program grow in numbers and compete for individual national championship invitations. Under Quinns direction, Westminster has seen its first-ever cross country All-American and had a two-time All-American in the Marathon during the outdoor track season. Since took over, a total of eight Westminster student-athletes have qualified for the NAIA National Championships during the cross country and both indoor and outdoor track seasons. Quinn came to Westminster after a stellar career at Judge Memorial Catholic School in Salt Lake City. He has worked at Judge for 21 years in the role of teacher, coach, dean of students and his current role of athletic director. In 18 years as the head coach of the track and cross country program, Judge won four cross country and eight track state championships. They also combined for 14 runner-up finishes and 40 region championships. Quinn has been named the UHSAA Track Coach of the Year on six occasions while winning the cross country honor five times. He coached the 2008 indoor national champion in the 2-mile along with six All-Americans and hundreds of All-State recipients. He played football at the University of Idaho before transferring to the University of Utah to compete in the decathlon. After receiving his Bachelors degree from Utah, Quinn received his Masters of Science-Sports Medicine at the United State Sports Academy.

Dan John
Assistant Coach
John has spent his life with one foot in the world of lifting and throwing, and the other foot in academia. An All-American discus thrower, Dan has also competed at the highest levels of Olympic lifting, Highland Games and the Weight Pentathlon, an event in which he holds the American record. Dan spends his work life blending weekly workshops and lectures with full-time writing, and is also an online religious studies instructor for Columbia College of Missouri. As a Fulbright Scholar, he toured the Middle East exploring the foundations of religious education systems. His books, on weightlifting, include Intervention, Never Let Go, Mass Made Simple and Easy Strength, written with Pavel Tsatsouline as well as From Dad, To Grad.

Taylor Penrod
Assistant Coach
Penrod holds a Masters Degree in Kinesiology from Indiana University and earned her bachelors degree in Communications from DePauw University. Penrod was a member of the cross country and track programs at DePauw where she qualified for the NCAA III Indoor national Championships. She also reached the Cross Country National Champions four times and was named All-Region and All-Conference while also being a 3-time Academic All-American.
