Whallon serves as Wolfs lead assistant coach, as well as the recruiting coordinator. Said Whallon, I am grateful for the opportunity to work at Westmont a program with great heritage and national reputation and to be able to work alongside Dave Wolf, who has been a significant friend and mentor to me. I am passionate about Warrior Soccer and am excited and humbled to have the chance to have an impact on the program. In the fall of 2012, Whallon helped lead the Fighting Scots to The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) semifinals, which included an upset win over the #3 seed Endicott College in the conference quarterfinals. In charge of all aspects of the program at Gordon, other highlights of Whallons tenure included traveling out to play Ohio-Wesleyan University, ranked #1 in the country at the time (NCAA Division III), aggressively developing the summer soccer camp program, and successfully recruiting and receiving 5 college commitments for the Class of 2013 before his departure. In the fall of 2011, Whallon served as the lead assistant coach at Gordon, assisting Head Coach Jake Declute (now an Assistant Coach and Scouting Coordinator with the Vancouver Whitecaps). That year, the Scots advanced to the CCC semifinals. Prior to joining the college ranks, Whallon coached and taught for four years at The Stony Brook School on Long Island, New York. While at the helm of Stony Brook (2007-2010), Whallon helped significantly raise the programs profile, scheduling games against some of the best high school teams in the state, including Brentwood High School. Prior to his tenure at Stony Brook, Whallon served as a graduate assistant at Wheaton College (Ill.) in 2006. The Thunder advanced to the Division III National Championship game and finished the season ranked second in the nation. In the spring of 2007, Whallon led the Wheaton mens club soccer team. Highlights included playing the University of Michigan and the University of Illinois. Originally from the Boston area, Whallon graduated from Wheaton College (Ill.) in 2006 with a BA in communications and played for the Thunder for all four years. During his studies, Whallon also attended Westmont for a consortium semester in 2005, a move he credits for having a pivotal role in his growth and development as a player and coach. He was a high school standout at Bedford High School (Mass.), and attended Phillips Academy (Andover, Mass.) as a post-graduate student in 2001. During the summer off-season, Whallon has enjoyed serving on staff at several elite soccer camps around the country including camps at Georgetown University, Notre Dame University, The Naval Academy and the University of Washington. He currently holds the U.S Soccer Federation "C" Coaching License and the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Premier Coaching Diploma. Tovi Eliasen enters his third season at Westmont as an assistant coach, the teams strength and conditioning specialist. He also works with the teams goalkeepers. A native of the bay area, Eliasen has lived and worked in Santa Barbara since 2006. Eliasen most recently served as the boys varsity head coach at Dos Pueblos High School, where he led the program to lofty heights. In his two years at DPHS, the Chargers had a record of 35-13-9, and won 18 games (2010-11) and 17 games (2009-10), respectively. In 2009-10, Eliasen led his squad all the way to the CIF Finals, where they played against Channel Island League rival Santa Barbara High School in front of 8,000 fans at Harder Stadium (UCSB). From 2008-2009, Eliasen served as the boys varsity assistant coach at Dos Pueblos. Before moving to Santa Barbara, Eliasen worked as the boys varsity head coach at Valley Christian High School in Northern California (2006). Beyond coaching, Eliasen is also a local business owner in Goleta. He is the founder of Cool Brook Fitness, Personal Training, a private company he established in 2007. Eliasen holds both an Advanced National Diploma, and Goalkeeper Level 2 Diploma from the NSCAA. He also holds certifications from NSCA as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, and from NASM and ACE as a personal trainer. Eliasen has many ties to the area and community, having attended and graduated from Westmont College in 2005 with a degree in Communications and Kinesiology. While a student, Eliasen began his coaching journey, serving as the head coach of the mens club soccer program for two years. Before enrolling at Westmont, Eliasen spent two seasons playing for nationally recognized Santa Barbara City College. Eliasen is married to wife, Rebecca, and has two children, Cruz (6) and London (3).
