Erin Campbell

Head Coach

Campbell enters her second season as Head Field Hockey Coach in 2015. Campbell served as an assistant coach during the 2013 season and has brought multi-level coaching and playing experience to the Wheelock sideline. In Coach Campbell's first season in charge, the field hockey team tied for second in NECC regular season standings and returned to the conference playoff scene after a two-year hiatus. Three of Campbell's players recieved conference postseason honors as well.  During the 2013 season, Campbell was responsible for coordinating and implementing the team's practice schedule, creating the team's offseason conditioning program, overseeing game management and recruiting. Her coaching resume includes serving as the Varsity Assistant Coach at Arlington High School and work as a coach and camp counselor at various field hockey camps throughout the Northeast. She also holds a Level 1 coaching certification from USA Field Hockey.  The Arlington, MA native played collegiately at Babson College for two seasons before ending her career due to injury. She earned her B.S. in Business Management from Babson College in 2011 and her M.Ed. in Policy, Planning and Administration from Boston University in 2014.  Campbell currently serves as Recreation Supervisor for the Town of Arlington.

Anne O'Byrne

Assistant Coach

O'Byrne has been named Assistant Field Hockey Coach, as recently announced by the Wheelock College Department of Athletics. Coach O'Byrne's primary responsibility will be to work with the Wildcats' goalkeepers, while providing additional assistance and insight to Coach Erin Campbell.  O'Byrne is a former four-year member of the Mount Holyoke College field hockey team. A goalkeeper, the Newbury, N.H. native earned the title of team captain her senior year. She also gained valuable leadership experience serving as a member and Health Chair of the MHC Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).  During her final season at Mount Holyoke, O'Byrne started all 17 games, posting a 7-10 record. The senior recorded a 2.39 goals against average and a .699 save percentage, making 86 saves over 1083:18 minutes.  O'Byrne graduated from Mount Holyoke College with a Political Science degree in 2013. The Boston, Mass. resident currently works as a Property Coordinator at BioMed Realty.

Julia Pochini

Assistant Coach

Pochini will enter her first season as an assistant coach for the Wheelock field hockey program in 2014.  Pochini, who graduated from Babson College in 2014, was a four-year letter winner in field hockey. The 2013 team captain was selected to play in the NFHCA Senior All-Star Game and helped lead her team to the second round of the NCAA Div. III Tournament in 2010.  Pochini was a four-year starter for the Beavers, earning All New-England East Regional Team and NEWMAC All-Conference honors. Julia was an active member of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), serving as President and Executive Board Member.  Julia currently works in Boston as an Information Technology Risk and Assurance Advisor. She has previously gained experience working with Team IMPACT and at various New England field hockey camps.
