Nicole Hoskins
Assistant Coach
Nicole Hoskins enters her third year on the Wilkes softball staff as an assistant coach for the 2026 season. Hoskins coached at the high school level for 10 seasons for Wilkes-Barre Area. When the schools combined, Hoskins coached at Hanover Area for two seasons in 2021 & 2022. In the summer months, Hoskins was involved with travel softball for many organizations focusing on player development and showcasing skills. Hoskins graduated from Misericordia in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. She then graduated from the University of Scranton in 2012 with a Master’s degree in School Counseling. While at Misericordia University, Hoskins was a four-year member of the softball team, graduating in the school’s all-time top 10 for games, hits, doubles, home runs, total bases, RBIs, walks, hit by pitches and putouts. The Plains Township, Pa. native was named Freedom Conference Player of the Year in 2010 and was an All-Freedom First Team selection the year prior. Hoskins was a crucial part of teams that won the ECAC South Championship in back-to-back years as a sophomore and junior and won the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference in 2007 as a first-year. In 2006, Hoskins represented the United States in international competition at the Tuscany Tour in Arezzo, Italy, helping the U.S. to a first-place finish. In 2008 she represented the country in victory once again, taking first in the Spanish Friendship Series held in Barcelona.

Casey Carpenter
Coach
Casey Carpenter begins her first season as Assistant Athletic Director for Game Operations and the Head Coach of the Wilkes softball program in 2027, after being named to positions on May 14, 2026. This marks Carpenter's sixth season in the Colonels dugout, having spent five seasons as an assistant coach. In her time as an assistant, she helped coach the team to three playoff berths between the Landmark and Middle Atlantic Conferences, 19 All-Conference selections, and three NFCA All-Region selections. She also served as the Interim Intramural Director from October 2023 to May 2024. Carpenter came to Wilkes after serving as a a 12u co-head coach at Riverfront Sports in Scranton. Prior to Riverfront, Carpenter served as a camp instructor and 14u head coach at Maximum Impact Sports Training in Wilkes-Barre. Carpenter also served a semester as an intern with the Lock Haven softball team, where she assisted coaches with various day-to-day tasks. Carpenter graduated from Lock Haven in 2021 with a degree in Health and Physical Education, where she was a five-year member and two-year captain of the softball program. Carpenter was named First Team All-PSAC in 2019, and excelled off the field as well earning PSAC Scholar-Athlete recognition and Lock Haven's Dean's List. She was also awarded the Soaring Eagle Award in 2021, given to the Lock Haven softball senior who is both a hard-working leader and intrinsically motivated.

Jordan Uhing
Coach
Jordan Uhing enters her fifth year at Wilkes in 2025, her first as the co-head coach of the Wilkes Cross Country teams after being named to the position on August 1, 2025. Uhing also serves as a Fitness Center/Strength and Conditioning Assistant and as an assistant on the Wilkes softball staff. Uhing came to Wilkes after serving an internship at Country Strong Performance and Fitness in Industry, Pa. While at Country Strong, Uhing helped train young athletes to gain strength and speed to optimize performance in their sport, helped train adults to achieve their fitness goals, introduced new members to weightlifting programs and assisted in running the facility. Uhing graduated from Pitt-Bradford in May 2021 with a degree in Exercise Science and Minor in Athletic Coaching. While at Pitt-Bradford, Uhing was a four-year member of the Panthers softball team, garnering both pre-and post-season Pitcher of the Year recognition and First Team All-AMCC during her senior season. Uhing also had success in the classroom, earning All-Academic all four years while being named Pitt-Bradford's Female Scholar Athlete of the Year in 2021. Uhing earned her Master's Degree in Exercise Science and Health Promotion with a concentration in Performance Enhancement and Injury Prevention from PennWest California in May 2024.
