Breanna Patz
Assistant Coach
Patz was named the head coach of the Xavier women's golf program in July 2015 after spending the previous two seasons on the coaching staff at Akron. Patz, a 2013 Xavier graduate with a bachelor's degree in accounting, completed work on her master's degree in accounting while at Akron. She earned three Second Team All-Colonial Athletic Association honors during her time at Xavier and earned 2013 All-CAA Tournament honors as a senior after finishing fourth in the conference tournament. In addition, she was named 2013 CAA Scholar Athlete of the Year and was a four-time National Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar (2010-13). She also earned the Thomas E. Sedler Award, which goes to a Xavier male and female senior student-athlete who has demonstrated hard work and enthusiasm during their career at Xavier. Patz, a native of Plainfield, Ind., appeared in 42 events during her Xavier career and her 77.56 career scoring average for 119 career rounds is the best in program history. She finished first or second in season scoring average in each of her four years as a Musketeer, including first as a sophomore. All four of her single-season averages rank among the top 15 in school history. Patz concluded her career at Xavier as the program's record holder for the lowest single-round score, carding rounds of 69 on two occasions. Patz, who stands third all-time at Xavier for career birdies with 183, recorded nine top-10 finishes and 18 top-20 finishes in her career. Patz was a three-time All-State selection at Avon High School in Avon, Ind. She finished fourth at the IHSAA State Finals in 2006 and finished in third place in 2008. She was named the 2008 IHSAA Mental Attitude Award winner for women's golf and the 2009 National High School Golf Coaches Association Player of the Year.
